Onyx Rimless Comfort Height Close Coupled Open Back WC & Wrapover Soft Close Seat
Designed for comfort, accessibility and everyday reliability, the Onyx Rimless Comfort Height Close Coupled Open Back WC is an excellent choice for main bathrooms, en‑suites and installations where ease of use is a priority. The close‑coupled configuration keeps the cistern neatly mounted directly onto the pan, creating a compact, self‑contained unit that fits easily into standard UK room layouts.
The open‑back construction provides clear access to rear connections, making alignment with soil pipes and fixing against uneven walls far simpler than fully enclosed models. This design also allows for straightforward maintenance and adjustments if required.
A key feature is the comfort‑height pan, set at approximately 460–465mm from floor to rim — around 50–60mm higher than standard‑height toilets. This reduces strain on knees, hips and lower back, making it much easier and safer to sit down and stand up, particularly for older users, those with limited mobility, or anyone who prefers a more natural seating position.
Hygiene is enhanced with rimless flushing technology. By removing the traditional overhanging rim, there are no hidden crevices where dirt, limescale and bacteria can accumulate. Water is distributed evenly across the entire inner bowl surface, delivering a powerful, thorough flush that cleans every area, while the smooth open interior can be wiped clean in seconds.
Crafted from high‑grade vitreous china with a durable high‑gloss white glaze, this toilet is scratch‑resistant, stain‑resistant and built to resist fading and discoloration over years of daily use. It is fitted with a top‑push dual‑flush mechanism, giving you the choice of a 3‑litre reduced flush or a 6‑litre full flush to help conserve water and lower household running costs.
Supplied complete with a premium wrapover soft‑close thermoset seat, it fully covers the pan rim for a neater, more streamlined look and easier cleaning, while lowering slowly and silently to prevent slamming and protect both the seat and pan from damage. With a standard 180mm rear outlet height and compatibility with 102mm UK soil pipe systems, it meets all relevant water regulations and includes all internal cistern parts, brackets and fixings for a straightforward installation.
